Phillies land Cliff Lee
The Phillies have acquired last year's AL Cy Young winner Cleveland Indian pitcher Cliff Lee, and don't have to deal J.A. Happ or top prospect Kyle Drabek. This is big news coming off all the trade rumors with Jays pitcher Halladay, and no sort of deal ever reaching fruition.
The Phillies got what they needed though, an experienced proven pitcher. The trade between the Phillies and the Indian's involved the phillies dealing four prospects; Jason Knapp, Carlos Carrasco, Jason Donald, and Lou Marson, and in return they receive Cliff Lee and Ben Francisco. Wow they Phillies just got alot better.

Possible Phillies starting rotation now; Hamels, Lee, Blanton, Happ, and Moyer (also Pedro Martinez will be thrown in the mix). Just think about it Cliff Lee is only 7-9 in 20 starts this year, but has a 3.14 era, his team must produce no runs. Phillies pitcher Moyer has a 5.32 era and managed 10 wins so far this year. With the Phillies offense behind Cliff Lee, he is going to be hard to beat.
